What I’ve been cooking lately

You may have noticed that I posted way less in 2016 than I did the year before. I didn’t plan on posting less, I wanted to continue blogging the way I did in 2015 but I just didn’t have the energy or concentration. Instead I was focusing on cooking the bun in my oven.

Baby D was born in August right on schedule (which was actually felt early for us because we had been told by everyone to expect him at least a week later). 

Over the last 2 and a half months, our world has completely changed but also stayed very similar. D is a great baby, he took to breastfeeding during skin to skin within an hour of his birth and had been eating like a champ ever since. He sleeps great at night, (although he doesn’t love to nap during the day unless he’s held). He’s a happy little boy but he makes you work for a laugh.  He’s been great in the car and sleeps most of the time he’s in the car seat or while we’re out doing errands. 

As I get ready to go back to work after maternity leave, I’m preparing again for our lives to change. I hope to adjust to life as a working mommy and hopefully I can get back into the swing of blogging about what I’m cooking and baking and other things happening in our lives.
